Billy Zero is the program director for XMU - XM 43, the college, indie, and unsigned artist destination on XM Satellite Radio.

From a very early age, Zero began picking up different instruments as his fascination with music grew and grew. He always knew that music would encompass a large part of his life, and he has made every effort to keep music at the center of his world.

With a BA in mass communications from Towson State, Zero started his career at the legendary WHFS, 99.1 FM, where he held positions of sales-promotions coordinator, webmaster, assistant engineer, and on-air jock. By the middle of 1999, he left WHFS disgruntled over the lack of support for independent artists. Eventually he was booking clubs, managing bands, and running his own company when he was invited to join the XM family.

Zero currently sits on the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and is a voting member for the Grammy Awards.
